Their voice. Distilled, not rewritten.
We turn one recorded conversation into three pieces — a written narrative, a trilogy of poems for reading and a song — using only the words the person actually said.
No invention. No filling in. No AI rewriting their words.
Built for the moments that need to last: legacies, memorials, milestones, the people we don't want to forget.
When it matters to get it right.
The way someone actually speaks — their phrases, their rhythm, the things only they would say — is the most precise record of who they were. Generic tributes lose all of that. AI-written speeches invent words the person never used. Templates smooth away the specifics that made them themselves.
HeldTruth works only with what was actually said. No invention. No filling in. No AI rewriting their words.
When the moment matters — a memorial, a milestone, a voice that's changing — the words should be the ones they actually said.
So we verify them — every name, every relationship, every detail — with the family, before any work is finalised.
The Listening Room
The first pieces are now in the room — Diane's voice, drawn from a single conversation in March 2026. More will follow as families give their permission.
The offer
Every engagement produces three pieces from one conversation: a written narrative, a trilogy of poems, and a song. The price covers the curatorial work, the recorded conversation, the typeset Volume One, and the Method Shelf. The song is included with every Set at no additional charge — a sounded version of the lyric, given as a gift inside the package.

Some moments make this feel urgent.
When memory is changing
When a loved one's memory begins to change — through Alzheimer's, dementia, or simply the passage of time — the window for capturing an authentic voice narrows. We work quickly, carefully, and with complete respect for the subject and the family. The recording that exists today may be the one that matters most.
When someone has gone
A recording, a bundle of letters, a collection of stories from the people who knew them. One witness interview with those who loved them is enough to begin. We find the voice inside the memory.
For a funeral or celebration of life
A spoken word piece read aloud at the service. A song played as people arrive, or leave. Something that could only have come from them — not a generic tribute, but the words they actually said, shaped into something that lasts beyond the day.
For a milestone
An 80th birthday. A retirement. A golden anniversary. A leaving do for someone who deserves more than a card. A piece built entirely from what they have said over a lifetime — funny, warm, and completely theirs.
For a wedding or an anniversary
A song or spoken word piece built from what the couple actually said to each other — in the interview, in the recording, in the words they use when no one is listening. A gift that could not have been made for anyone else.
For legacy
A family story worth preserving. Something permanent for children, grandchildren, or the people who come after. Built from one conversation, it holds a voice exactly as it was — in the words, the rhythm, and the things only they would say.
Why HeldTruth exists
HeldTruth began with a regret — a recording of my grandfather, taped over decades ago, that I have wished back into existence ever since. It exists now because some voices deserve to be held more carefully than I held his.
The full story is here, if you'd like to read it.

What happens after the call
Every engagement begins with a focused twenty-minute Discovery Call — free, no obligation.
We talk about who this is for, what you want to preserve, and whether HeldTruth is the right fit. If it isn't, we will say so honestly.
After the call, you choose your engagement from the offer above. We send a payment link. The work begins.
For Rick-conducted engagements, the interview is scheduled within days. For client-recorded engagements, you upload your material to a private link and we begin straight away.
The three pieces are delivered together, on a private page on the HeldTruth site. Physical and Heirloom editions are posted separately, in their finished form. Some families also choose to share their pieces in the public Listening Room, as the Aslett family have done with Diane's work.
